The OTC Markets today are likely to present a plethora of speculative opportunities to penny stock investors as there are several company news updates and promotions which can be played on. Let’s start with the major news releases:
Fortress International Group, Inc. (OTCQB:FIGI) – Yesterday, FIGI disclosed its financial results for the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s press release FIGI has registered:
- $14.1 million revenues in Q1, which is slightly lower compared with the same quarter a year ago
- gross profit of $2.8 million which represents an increase of $800 thousand on an year-to-year basis.
- Cash and cash equivalents of $4.6 million, whereas it had $6 million cash at hand the same quarter a year ago.
- A net loss of $23 thousand, down from $172 thousand in the previous quarter.
The company also announced it had appointed Maura McNerney as Chief Financial Officer. Previously Ms. McNerney had been CFO and Vice President of Hampshire Group Ltd. (OTC:HAMP).
FIGI is a company which provides capital management, energy, IT strategy, procurement, design, construction, implementation and operations solutions to technology organizations around the world. FIGI stock has been in a downtrend since February this year and is currently consolidating around $0.6 per share. The released financial report may send the stock above or below the support line depending on the way investors will interpret the disclosed financial results.
Enerjex Resources, Inc. (ENRJ) – ENRJ announced the results of the first quarter emphasizeing an achieved record high revenue of $2.3 million and a 36% increase in oil production. Regardless of that, yesterday ENRJ share price fell down 11% to $0.52 on a volume several times higher than the average.
ENRJ is a development stage oil and gas company operating in Kansas, USA and is traded on the OTCQB market. At the end of March ENRJ stock bounced up sharply from its support at $0.5 and reached as high as $0.72 per share most likely thanks to the coverage initiated by Wall Street Sources. The bullish episode was short lived though, and since the beginning of April ENRJ has been gradually sliding back down to its previous support.
Hollund Industrial Marine, Inc. (HIMR) – HIMR, a highly speculative stock which has been stuck at the bottom of the triple zeros realm, today announced that it had completed a lease arrangement with North Cal, a California based wood company.
HIMR, on its part, is a company providing underwater forest management based in Blaine, WA. It is traded on the OTC Pink Current Information market. HIMR stock price as of the last close is $0.0002 per share. Stocks trading at the ultimate bottom of the chart, however, are far from suitable to be traded by common investors no matter how cheap they may seem.
Today’s top pomotions:
GDT Tek Inc. (GDTK) – two days ago we predicted an increased trading interest towards GDTK stock as the company was featured in several paid newsletters and in addition announced it was going to have its annual report audited, which implied about GDTK’s ambition to upgrade to a current information status.
On the same day GDTK generated a trading volume ten times higher than the average, while the share price increased 37% to $0.57. The promotional campaign on GTK has not finished yet as paid newsletters has been constantly issued by various promoters. However, there are already signs that the effect of the campaign may have been exhausted as the selling pressure which GDTK experienced yesterday forced the share price 8% lower.
FBC Holding, Inc. (FBCD) – FBCD is in the headlines of several newsletters issued after the last closing bell. The campaign is sponsored by Equities Awareness Group for the amount of $10,000.
FBCD was also promoted on May 6th and 7th when its stock price surged 4% and 42% respectively on a heavy trading volume. The recency of the last promotion suggest the effect of the forthcoming one may have a weaker effect on the stock.
